But this assay could tell you that something is not right even before you know it (e.g. elevation of creatinine or signs/symptoms of infection). This could then trigger further testing in order to elucidate what the etiology and if rejection, treat aggressively early on.Leonardo V Riella, MD, PhDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15792108173522906438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4230162007222918868.post-39607569536217980532012-05-08T15:19:34.550-04:002012-05-08T15:19:34.550-04:00Unfortunately this assay probably will give u fals...Unfortunately this assay probably will give u false positive results in a setting of infection and or inflammation.
They had a similar "immunoknow" test also before but clinical utility of that was also questioned.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4230162007222918868.post-49265257190437014602012-05-04T13:43:16.238-04:002012-05-04T13:43:16.238-04:00Thank you - appreciate the response.Thank you - appreciate the response.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4230162007222918868.post-60370917807242893212012-05-04T07:26:53.980-04:002012-05-04T07:26:53.980-04:00They assess different functions of the immune syst...They assess different functions of the immune system and are complementary to each other. While the presence of DSA (donor specific antibody) can tell you about antibody-mediated alloimmune response against the graft, a cytokine assay can measure the degree of activation of your immune system against the graft (cellular-mediated response). You may have either one or both occurring at the same time.Leonardo V Riella, MD, PhDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15792108173522906438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4230162007222918868.post-31753169147337094802012-05-03T21:38:47.743-04:002012-05-03T21:38:47.743-04:00How does this compare to a DSA Test with regard to...How does this compare to a DSA Test with regard to helpfulness?
Thank you -Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
